Constituted over 65 years ago for promotional support, Indian Machin Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) today represents the entire Machine Tool Industry in India.

Compromising large, medium and small scale units, the membership of IMTMA manufacturers / trades in the entire range of metal working machine tools; accessories and other ancillary equipment for machine tools; and cutting tools and tooling systems. In short it is the single point contact for the machine tool industry in India.

The forum is deeply committed to support the industry to increase competitiveness, technology, productivity and quality to ensure its overall advancement and growth. The association is also proactive in taking new initiatives to promote advancement of metal working manufacturing in India.

IMTMA organizes its flagship events IMTEX and Tooltech, focusing on Metal Cutting and Metal Forming machines, equipment and tools. IMTEX, the Metal Cutting Show is organized every odd year and the Metal Forming Machine Tool Show, IMTEX Forming is held every even year.

IMTEX creates a strong ecosystem for exhibitors and visitors from India and overseas, visiting from diverse manufacturing segments, looking for varied solutions. Today, IMTEX plays a very important role both for the machine tool industry as well as the user segments from the Indian manufacturing sector.

IMTMA has recent ly obtained Integrated Management System (IMS) certification. IMS covers key activities of IMTMA including Trade Fairs, etc. Integrated Management System (IMS) is a set of internationally recognized standards that encompass Quality, Environment and Health & Safety. IMS Certification is accredited when all these three critical management systems: ISO 9001 – Quality Management System, ISO 14001 – Environmental Management System and OHSAS 18001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management System, are voluntarily implemented and audited. IMS certification reaffirms IMTMA’s commitment to environment and health & safety aspects in the exhibition industry and exhibition infrastructure.
